Names

I decided to do one of those behind the scenes type of things because I've gotten comments from several different readers about the fact that they like the names I come up with for characters. Since my legacy is movie inspired, I am just listing names that I have gotten from movies or tv shows.

Maximus - The founder of this legacy is named after Russell Crowe's character in Gladiator. The name of the blog is also based off of a quote from the same movie, "What we do in life echoes in eternity."

Patrick - The second generation heir is named after Christian Bale's character in American Psycho. It is one of my favorite movies, and I might possibly use that movie as one of the themes for a generation in the legacy.

Armand - The third generation heir is named after a misinterpretation of a character's name in Jack the Giant Slayer. I thought the character in the movie was named Armand, but he was actually named Elmond, which I found out later. It's okay because I like Armand better anyway.
Decimus - Armand's middle name is also from Russell Crowe's character in Gladiator, as Decimus is Maximus' middle name in the movie.

Remy - Armand's friend is named after Gambit, from the X-Men.
